SimpLea Produce is part of the Business Ventures division of the Charles Lea Center. This business was created in order to provide meaningful employment for people with disabilities while providing the community with fresh, high quality local produce. Our production is done in a newly renovated greenhouse located behind the Charles Lea Center, equipped with a NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) system and Bato bucket system. In this greenhouse, we grow leafy greens, cucumbers and tomatoes. As a spray-free greenhouse, all of our produce is free from harmful chemicals. As a non-profit, all our the proceeds from sales of our products go back into the business so that we can expand and employ more people with disabilities.
